One more iOS: iOS7 hard luck for ipad2 users

Apple has unveiled iOS 7, the latest version of its mobile operating system that powers popular devices like iPhones, iPads and iPod touch. The latest version of the software brings a host of new features to the table, including wireless data transfer, iTunes Radio, new camera and photo filters etc.

iTunes Radio

iTunes Radio is the new music streaming service by Apple that will be added to the company’s iTunes suite. 

Devices that will get iTunes Radio: iPhone 5, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, fifth-gen iPod touch.

All handheld devices after iPad 2 and iPhone 4 will get this feature .

AirDrop

Apple’s answer to NFC, AirDrop is the new feature that allows users to send photos, videos, contacts etc with others over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Devices that will get AirDrop: iPhone 5, iPad 4, iPad mini, fifth-gen iPod touch.

Devices that will not get AirDrop: iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 3.


Square images

Apple has introduced a new square image format that is meant for Instagram uploads in iOS 7.

Devices that will get Square/video formats: iPhone 5, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad mini, fifth-gen iPod touch.

Device that will not get Square/video formats: iPad 2.
 
Filters in camera

iOS 7 brings eight new filters directly in the camera app, including chrome, instant, noir, tonal etc.

Devices that will get filters in camera: iPhone 5, fifth-gen iPod touch

Devices that will not get filters in camera: iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini
Filters in photos

If you have already clicked a photo without any filters, you can still embellish them by applying the filters later with this iOS update.

Devices that will get filters in photos: iPhone 5, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad mini, fifth-gen iPod touch

Device that will not get filters in photos: iPad 2
 
Swipe to capture

iOS 7 update brings swipe to capture – wherein you can switch between camera modes like photos, videos and panorama with a swipe – to the table.

Devices that will get swipe to capture: iPhone 5, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad mini, fifth-gen iPod touch
